Julia Domna, Augusta, 193-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 4.62 g, 6 h), Rome, 215-217. IVLIA PIA FELIX AVG Diademed and draped bust of Julia Domna set to right on crescent. Rev. VENVS GENETRIX Venus seated left on throne, extending her right hand and holding long scepter in her left. BMC 22. Cohen 211. RIC 388a. A nicely toned example with a sharp portrait. Minor roughness and struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, good very fine.
