Theodoros, imperial spatharios, 8th century. Seal (Lead, 26 mm, 13.70 g, 12 h). Large cruciform monogram ΘЄOTOKЄ BOHΘH; in quadrants, TⲰ - CⲰ / Δ૪-ΛⲰ ('Mother of God, help your servant'). Rev. + / ΘЄOΔⲰ/PⲰ B'CΠA/ΘAPIⲰ in three lines; above and below, cross between pellets. Zacos/Veglery 2455A and an unpublished seal in Dumbarton Oaks (BZS.1955.1.1029). Struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
