Bagdoues (?), 11th century. Seal (Lead, 24 mm, 9.52 g, 12 h). Θ / Π/A...- Θ... Two nimbate saints standing front, their hands raised in supplication. Rev. KЄ BO/HΘH TON Δ/૪ΛOH C૪ B/ΔΓΔ૪HN ("Lord, help your servant Bagdoues") in four lines. Unpublished in the standard references. An intriguing Byzantine seal of 'provincial' style. Rough surfaces, otherwise, fine.
