Mn. Aquillius Mn.f. Mn.n, 65 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.93 g, 6 h), Rome. VIRTVS III VIR Draped bust of Virtus to right, wearing crested helmet decorated with a plume. Rev. MN•AQVIL MN•F•MN N / SICIL Warrior standing front, head to right, holding shield in his left hand and lifting up fallen figure with his right. Babelon (Aquillia) 2. Crawford 401/1. RBW 1443. Sydenham 798. An attractive and beautifully toned example. Some light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
