KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.15 g, 11 h), Chalkis, circa 290-287. Diademed and horned head of Demetrios I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΔHMHTPIOY Poseidon, nude, standing left, his right foot set on a rock, holding trident in his left hand and resting his right on his right thigh; to outer left, star; to outer right, ΔΙ. Newell 152 (obverse die CLVIII). Struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, very fine.
