C. Cassius Longinus, 43-42 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.74 g, 7 h), with L. Cornelius Lentulus Spinther, military mint moving with the army of Brutus and Cassius (Smyrna?), spring 42. C•CASSI•IMP - LEIBERTAS Diademed head of Libertas to right, wearing earring and pearl necklace. Rev. LENTVLVS / SPINT Capis and lituus. Babelon (Cassia) 16 and (Cornelia) 75. Crawford 500/3. CRI 221. RBW 1762. Sydenham 1307. Nicely toned and well centered. The obverse a bit weak, otherwise, very fine.
