D N IVSTINIANVS P AV Helmeted, diademed and cuirassed bust of Justinian I facing, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing a fallen foe, over his left shoulder. Rev. Large I between A/N/N/O and XX/XIIII; all within wreath. DOC -. MIBE 229a. SB 326 (Ravenna). A beautiful example of this interesting Roman issue. Good very fine.
