Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟ[Υ] Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield; behind, transverse spear; in inner left field, monogram of HΔ and Y; on throne, TO; in exergue, ornate trident left. AMNG I 2477. Callataÿ p. 141, D1/R-. SNG Copenhagen 1090. A lustrous and sharp piece. The reverse struck slightly off center and with very light doubling, otherwise, virtually as struck.
