LOWER DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. Circa late 3rd to early 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 13.65 g, 11 h), 'Lysimachoskopf' type. Celticized bearded head to left, with ram's horn in his hair. Rev. Celticized horseman to right, wearing cloak billowing out behind him and raising his left arm; to right, imitative letters. Dembski 1205. Flesche -. Lanz -. OTA 285/1. Very rare. Well struck in high relief. Harshly cleaned, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
