The St. Albans Collection of English Gold Coins | NGC AU58 | George II (1727-1760), Two-Guineas, 1740 over 39, intermediate laureate head left, rev. crowned garnished shield, chevron milled edge, 16.72g, 6h (MCE 294; Schneider II, 577, dies 8/8; EGC 575; Stratos 167; Spink 3668), rub to high points and lightly scattered nailmarks in otherwise lustrous fields, very fine, the reverse boldly so, with NGC 'St Albans' Certification, helpfully graded AU58 (#6295553-035).
