Seleukid Empire, Seleukos I Nikator AR Tetradrachm. In the types of Alexander III of Macedon. Seleukeia on the Tigris, circa 311-305 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress / Zeus Aëtophoros seated to left, holding sceptre; AΛEΞANΔPOY to right, ΠA monogram(?) very faintly in lower right field, K below throne. Near Very Fine; light cabinet tone. An apparently unpublished and possibly unique tetradrachm with style similarities to the coins from the mint of Babylon II - the "Native" or "Satrapal" workshop.
