Edward VI (1547-1553), Third Period, Fine Silver Issue, Shilling, 1551-1553, Tower, facing bust, dividing rose and value, rev. square-topped shield over cross fourchée, 6.01g, 9h, m.m. tun (North 1937; Spink 2482), rich old cabinet tone disguising slight striking softness to bust, nevertheless a pleasing example of this popular series, strictly very fine but better in hand.
