Anne (1702-1714), 'Post-Union', London, 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1708, third draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, six strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6.00g, 6h (Bull 1401 [R2]; ESC 1149; Spink 3614), flecking on Queen's neck, otherwise lustrous and peripherally toned, a pleasingly good very fine, a surprising rarity in higher grades.
