Richard III (1483-1485), Type 2b/3a, Groat, 1483-1485, London, crowned bust facing, rev. long cross with trefoil of pellets in angles, 2.76g, 3h, m.m. BH2/SR2 (Winstanley 9; Stewartby pp 434, IIb/IIIa; North 1679; Spink 2156), historically cleaned and crimped, now darkly retoned, struck details almost very fine, the all-important boar's head mintmark clear on obverse.
