Watch List notes:

BYZANTINE. Middle Period. Bronze Pectorial Reliquary Cross. Circa 8th-9th century AD. (3.25" X 2.2" / 8.5 X 5.6 cm). A fine bronze pectoral reliquary cross half. Depicted on the face is a full length robed figure of Saint George, nimbate, holding a cross in his right hand and raising his left in benediction. On the left is a two line Greek inscription reading "Saint George" and on the right an inscription reading "Saint Demetrios." Superb and finely engraved. Front half present, the back half missing; dark green patina with earthen adhesions to the interior surface.
