DEUTSCHLAND HOCH IN EHREN! (O! Germany High in Honor!), French and British soldier marching off German High Command to left (from left, Hindenburg, Mackensen, Ludendorff, Tirpitz, and Bethmann-Hollweg are specifically noticeable); to right, dejected German imperial eagle, perched right on document inscribed ARTIK/227/–/230 set on stele, vomiting; K – /GOETZ on base of stele; DER GEGNER HASSER –/FÜLLTE RACHT (The hate-filled opponent's revenge) in two lines in exergue.
