ROMAN. Imperial. Pair of Bronze Military Belt Buckles. 3rd Century AD. A pair of well-preserved buckles, including one with an oval ring and belt plate (1.65" / 4.1 cm in length) with incised geometric decoration, and a one of circular form with concentric motif (3.35" / 8.5 cm in length). TWO (2) PIECES TOTAL. Bishop & Coulston, "Roman Military Equipment," figure 137 (oval) and 118 (round). The oval plate with even brown patina, the round plate bright green with traces of enameling.
