SICILY. Leontinoi. Circa 450-440 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.33 g, 2 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΛΕ-Ο-ΝΤ-ΙΝ-ΟΝ Head of roaring lion to right; around, four barley grains. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte 35 (same dies); SNG ANS 221 (same obverse die). Light porosity on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
