BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Demetrios I, circa 200-185 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.98 g, 11 h). Diademed and draped bust of Demetrios I to right, wearing elephant's skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ Herakles standing facing, crowning himself with wreath held in right hand, holding club in left, lion's skin draped over left arm; in inner left field, monogram. Bopearachchi 1F. HGC 12, 63. Good very fine.
