Anonymous, circa 225-212 BC. Quadrigatus (Silver, 21,5 mm, 6.75 g, 7 h), Rome. Laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri. Rev. Jupiter, holding scepter in right hand and thunderbolt in left, standing right in a quadriga, which is driven to right by Victory who stands beside him; below, raised tablet with ROMA in incuse letters. Crawford 31/1. Sydenham 64b. Well centered and struck on a broad flan. A lovely example. Extremely fine.
