BYZANTINE SEALS. Paul, Patrikios, circa 2nd half of 6th century. Seal or Bulla (Lead, 25 mm, 19.47 g, 12 h). Monogram of Paul Patrikios, within round dotted border. Rev. + ΔOY/ΛΟΥ ΤΗ/C ΘEOT/OKOY+ "servant of Virgin Mary" in four lines, the whole within round dotted border. Cf. Zacos 2819 for type and dating. Apparently unpublished early administration seal. Very fine.
