IC-XC Christ Pantokrator, seated facing on a square-backed throne, bearded, nimbate, and wearing a tunic and himation, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of gospels in his left; border of dots. Rev. + AΛΕΞIΩ ΔEC-ΠOT' TΩ KOMNIN Bearded figure of Alexius standing facing, wearing crown with cross and pendilia, divitision, and loros, and holding labarum in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. Zacos 102 a-d. Nicely patinated. Struck on a short flan, otherwise, very fine.
