IONIA, Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. AR Tetradrachm (33mm, 12.53 g, 12h). Cistophoric type. Cista mystica within ivy wreath / Bow case between two serpents; to right, Nike standing right on prow. Kleiner & Noe –; SNG Copenhagen –; SNG von Aulock –; CNG 57, lot 4123 (same obv. die). Good VF, lightly toned, finger print stains on obverse. Rare.
