Judaea, The Jewish War. Æ Eighth (5.44 g), 66-70 CE. Jerusalem, year 4 (69/70 CE). 'Year four' (Paleo-Hebrew), lulav branch flanked by an etrog on either side. Reverse: 'To the redemption of Zion' (Paleo-Hebrew), chalice with pearled rim. Hendin 6398; TJC 214. A boldly struck example with uniform dark grayish-brown patina. We cannot recall handling a better example! Certainly among the finest known. Superb Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $1,000 - UP
