Obverse: Draped bust of Venus left, wearing stephane; small Cupid and lituus to left; scepter to right; Reverse: Trophy of Gallic arms, with a shield and carnyx in each hand; on left, kneeling bearded male captive seated left, looking right; on right, seated female captive right, resting head in hand. Presenting exceptional quality for the top that is RARELY encountered, this charming specimen offers a delightful cabinet tone with a gunmetal gray allure and some iridescent hints further accentuating the devices.
