An EXTREMELY RARE type that is missing from most major collections, such as Hammel, Norweb, and Garrett, this date, in fact, was totally unknown until a small group of 13 coins surfaced in the early 2000's--a group that was believed to be the wedding dowry of an important Honduran woman. As such, examples of the date do not come to the market often, with the present specimen standing as an exceedingly wholesome and barely handled representative, with a staggering degree of elegant and enticing brilliance shimmering throughout.
