MEXICO. Cob 8 Reales, ND (1607-21)-Mo. Mexico City Mint. Philip III. PCGS VF-35.
KM-44.3; Cal-162 (for type). Weight: 26.97 gms. Fairly crudely produced, as is essentially always the case with these issues, but still retaining solid detail in areas and an overall problem-free nature--quite the feat given its sea-rescued nature after multiple centuries in the deep. A great pedigree to a rather famous wreck and subsequent discovery.
Ex: Atocha shipwreck, sunk on 6 September 1622 off the coast of what is now the Florida Keys, certificate # PGC-0122-008
Estimate: $1000 - $2000
