MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1733-MX F. Mexico City Mint. Philip V. PCGS VF-25.
KM-103; Cal-1435. A VERY RARE offering from the earliest days at the mint in Mexico City, this specimen bears the briefly used "MX" mintmark--an abbreviation that would be quickly abandoned for the ubiquitous "M" surmounted by a small "o" (Mo in numismatic parlance)--long since now the norm for the mint. Exceedingly impressive and immensely wholesome, this original survivor will undoubtedly highlight any advanced collection of Mexican treasures, or those from Latin America more broadly.
Estimate: $3000 - $5000
