MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1800-Mo FM. Mexico City Mint. Charles IV. PCGS MS-61.
KM-109; Cal-965; Yonaka-M8-100. One of the most wholesome and original uncirculated coins, the current 1800-Mo 8 Reales features strong mint luster and just the slightest hint of cabinet friction holding back from higher grades. Lovely rainbow toned rims transition to golden centers on the obverse, while the reverse does show similar toning at the edges, but is brighter in the centers. The reverse features cartwheeling luster as well as a large internal die cud on the left pillar that adds character. Overall a coin that makes an impression, and that you will think back on any time you think of the more scarce 1800-Mo date.

Estimate: $1000 - $1500
