MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1811-Mo HJ. Mexico City Mint. Ferdinand VII. PCGS MS-62.
KM-110; Cal-1317; Yonaka-M8-111. Armored bust variety. One of the most boldly rainbow toned portrait 8 Reales in an uncirculated PCGS holder, the current 1811-Mo HJ 8 Reales has emerald green and blueberry central obverse toning that subtly transitions to orange toning at the edges which extends to the reverse. While both sides feature a small amount of strike weakness common with the date, the overall strike is far better than average. Strong cartwheeling luster booms on both sides and adds to the appeal as it lights up the vivid rainbow of colors gracing both sides. Certainly one of the most memorable 8 Reales from The Stendebach Collection and one that is bound to attract attention.
