MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1812-Mo JJ. Mexico City Mint. Ferdinand VII. PCGS MS-63.
KM-111; Yonaka-M8-112. Flashy semi-prooflike fields are the first thing to greet the views on this top-pop 1812-Mo issue. Scattered bag marks are present, but the booming luster and lack of any wear make up for it. The reverse, as on many from the 1812 Mexico City emission, contains a curious mix of planchet adjustment marks and speckled toning. Significantly more cartwheel luster than is typically seen for the issue, and tied with two other coins for the finest PCGS has seen for the issue!
The Stendebach Collection.
Estimate: $2000 - $2500
