MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1817-Mo JJ. Mexico City Mint. Ferdinand VII. PCGS MS-62.
KM-111; Yonaka-M8-117. The sole finest graded by PCGS and for good reason: this 1817-Mo example is boldly struck and has cartwheeling luster more common on issues that followed nearly a century later. Extremely choice for the assigned PCGS 62 grade, the current coin hailed from an old NGC MS-63 holder (4189642-004) and is the best of the best for the date. Completely void of any toning, this example is blast white and with booming eye appeal in hand!
The Stendebach Collection.
Estimate: $1500 - $2000
