KM-R7. Countermark: Variety A, Short and thick key. Applied to the reverse of a 1873-Mo M Mexico Republic "Balance Scale" Peso (KM-408.5). A SCRACE denomination from this series, especially in higher states of preservation. The countermark is nearly complete and bold on a nicely preserved host displaying attractive light gray tone with areas of richer coloration amongst the devices. The surfaces offer a bit of glossiness with luster in the protected areas adding to its pleasing appearance. This wholesome looking example offers good eye appeal with much remaining detail that is sure to excite many collectors.
