S-3767; KM-Unlisted. Authorized 9 March 1797. Countermark: Bank of England Type I; Raised bust of George III within oval indent. Applied to the obverse of a 1794-M MF Spain bust 4 Reales of Charles IIII (IV) (KM-431.1). This beautifully preserved and highly attractive survivors displays lovely rich old cabinet patina with iridescent hues in the peripheries and protected areas. Wholly original looking, the present example exhibits even wear and possesses tremendous eye appeal.
