Issued by decree of 20 December 1834, suppressed 31 March 1837 (By Decree of 1 February 1836). Applied to the obverse of a 1832-Do RM/L Mexico Republic 8 Reales (KM-377.4). A RARE host coin for this high state of preservation, the present example delivers much glossiness to the surfaces, along with a crisp refined strike. Very little in the way of handling or contacts are seen, making this an example that is certain to be highly prized by any collector of the Philippines coinage series. The countermark is bold and expressive, tying this example together as a complete package of attractivity.
