CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Silver Medallic 10 Ducats, 1929. Kremnica Mint. NGC MS-63.
cf. Fr-8 (for gold issue); KMX-6; cf. Novotny-II.A (same). By: Otakar Spaniel. Obverse: St. Wenceslas standing, head left, holding banner; Reverse: St. Wenceslas on horseback left, holding banner, accompanied by two angels. A wonderful specimen of the popular type offered here in the most unusual of formats, being struck in silver and in the size of a 10 Ducats piece. When produced in gold this type was only struck in 5, 3, and single Ducat format, making it both off-metal, and off-denomination from gold strikes. As such, it is of the UTMOST RARITY, and a piece that is certain to be demanded by anyone interested in the series.

From the Whytecliffe Collection.

Estimate: $1000 - $1500
