CZECHOSLOVAKIA. Gold Medallic 5 Ducats, 1934. Kremnica Mint. NGC MS-66.
Fr-14; KMX-20; Novotny-VI.B (RRRR). Mintage: 70. By: Anton Ham. Obverse: St. Catherine kneeling in prayer and supplication, mining equipment before her being illuminated by the glory of God from a radiant cloud; behind her, arms of Hungary-Anjou and flowering plant, all within hexagon; Reverse: Scenes of mining operations within a hexagon, further encircled by border of beads and legend. A glowing Gem that honors the reopening of the Kremnica Mines, a source of Czechoslovakian pride, this intricately designed beauty offers tremendous appeal and charm. The luster on the surfaces glows, and very few inclusions of contact or marking are seen. A tremendous specimen that couples RARITY with aesthetic appeal, this 5 Ducats offers a seldom seen chance.

From the Whytecliffe Collection.

Estimate: $10000 - $20000
