Obverse: Edward, holding sword, standing facing on lion passant right; feather to right and left; all within ornate Gothic portico; Reverse: Cross fleuree, with Є at center; leopards and lis in alternate quarters; all within polylobe, with rosettes in arcs and trilobes in spandrels. Hardly exhibiting any evidence of handling, this highly impressive Anglo-Gallic issue sports an enchanting color and resounding remaining brilliance.
