Obverse: St. Michael standing facing, head right, spearing dragon to lower right with spear topped by cross crosslet; Reverse: Ship bearing shield and cross; Һ and rose flanking cross. A most impressive Angel, this lovely example displays a crisp and nearly full strike and is softly lustrous. Avoiding marking or digs that are often encountered on English hammered gold, this piece certainly provides premium for the grade appeal.
