GREAT BRITAIN. Commonwealth. 6 Pence, 1652. London Mint; mm: sun/-. PCGS MS-61.
S-3219; N-2726; KM-389.1. Obverse: St. George's shield within wreath composed of laurel branch and palm frond; Reverse: Two shield bearing St. George's cross (England) and harp (Ireland); VI (mark of value) above. The only Mint State example in the PCGS census, not just for the date, but for the entire Commonwealth 6 Pence series, this exceptional minor presents a pleasing strike upon an enticingly toned flan. Most of the surfaces are gunmetal gray, while a tinge of burnished olive further accentuates the devices. A tremendous opportunity for a superior hammered issue.

Estimate: $2500 - $3500
