cf. ESC-3704. Variety without "COPPER" on edge. A fairly RARE and enchanting unofficial pattern issue, this piece present George V in more of an ancient Roman feel, with a bareheaded bust in simple drapery. Immensely attractive no matter the noted cleaning, it employs a rich reverse design in which allegories of the four constituent countries are represented: England (rose), Scotland (thistle), Ireland (shamrock), and Wales (leek).
