A seldom-offered Davenport type in certified Mint State quality, the last offered, an NGC-graded MS-62, appeared at auction in June of last year. Sold by MDC in Monaco, it brought 20,000 Euros hammer (approximated $21,333 + hammer) in that sale. Prior to that, the last certified Mint State example appeared at auction in 2015. Considering that, and that this example is one grade point higher than the most-recent sale, we expect competition to be fierce for this nearly unduplicated crown.
