Obverse: ÆTERNAM SIBI RESERVAVIT, Karl X Gustav seated left on throne, passing the crown unto his son, the future Karl XI; above, radiant manus Dei emerging leftward from the heavens; Reverse: CAROLVS GUSTAVUS / REX SVECIÆ / CAROLO FILIO / REGI HÆRE DI / TRAD / OBIIT XII FEB MDCLX / VIXIT ANNOS / XXXVII M III D VI / REGNAVIT ANNOS / V M VIII D VI in ten lines; all within wreath with garlanded shields around. An INCREDIBLY RARE and large format silver medal with the nominal value of "2-3/4 Talers" or "3-1/6 Riksdalers," this specimen does exhibit some minor damage and staining, but nevertheless yields solid overall detail remaining along with a deep tone.
