SWITZERLAND. Geneva. John Calvin Silver Medal, 1641. PCGS SPECIMEN-55.
Whiting-128; Wiecek-109. By: Sebastian Dadler. Obverse: Bust of John Calvin right; Reverse: Angel sounding trumpet and holding book of doctrine. A tremendous medal honoring the reformer, this wonderful specimen yields a full strike and limited instances of handling or contact. Good luster is retained, along with some wholesome cabinet toning that lightly adheres to the surfaces. A wonderful medal that is quite elusive and certain to be much demanded.
From the Augustana Collection.
Estimate: $600 - $900
