GERMANY. Saxony. Marriage of Friedrich August I and Maria Josepha Silver Medal, 1719. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, Unc Details.
Mont-1558. By: Olus Wif. Obverse: Diana standing facing, holding bow and spear; dog to left; Reverse: View of Dresden harbor, in background, cityview. A most impressive medal, despite the noted tooling and some friction, this piece delivers an artful design that is supremely well executed. The details are full, with no hint of weakness or wear to be seen. Much brilliant luster is retained, only adding to the appeal of this example. A RARE medal that we have seen almost no other offerings of, with us being only able to trace one other example of the type trading in 2017. A tremendous medal that matches beauty, with elusivity, and a premium pedigree, ensuring many excited bids when this specimen is offered.

Ex: Potoci Collection.

Estimate: $10000 - $15000
