CORINTHIA. Corinth. AR Drachm, ca. 345-307 B.C. NGC EF. Scratches.
HGC-4, 1869; SNG Cop-130. Obverse: Pegasos flying left; Reverse: Head of Aphrodite left, wearing sakkos; letters flanking neck. Despite the noted scratches and a bit of die rust evident on the obverse, this piece displays a wonderful portrait of Aphrodite in fine Classical style. The surfaces are richly toned and gleam with some remaining luster.
