HGC-10, 61; Pr-3365. In the name and types of Alexander III (the Great) of Macedon. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; palm tree in left field; below throne, monogram below strut. This Alexander-type Tetradrachm is struck on a broad flan, presenting a portrait of Herakles in finer style than typically encountered for this later issue. A charming piece with lightly toned surfaces.
