Group of Six Egyptian Glazed Steatite Scarabs. ca. 1550-924 B.C. Average Grade: FINE.
Comprising a blue-glazed cowroid with a cartouche set within a symmetrical pattern of hieroglyphs including wedjet eyes; a cartouche of Ahmose I featuring a feline head between a solar disk with uraeus and a shallow basket; two scarabs with the ram head of Amun; a cartouche with two signs, one a scarab; and a green-glazed cartouche of Shoshenq I. Most New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, circa 1550-1292 BC; cowroid Second Intermediate Period - New Kingdom, circa 1650-1069 BC; Shoshenq I cartouche Third Internediate Period, 22nd Dynasty, circa 945-924 BC. Glaze worn on all, otherwise good.
