Printed by W&S. Key 1942 date. Four punch cancellations. Red specimen overprint. Arms at left, watermark at right. Large ornate counter at center. Multicolored design in blue, maroon and brown ink on obverse. Dark blue reverse design. This is the only example graded by PMG for this unissued 1942 variant, and it is offered here today in Specimen form. This design varies drastically from the 1944 issued counterpart (b variety). A neat piece of banknote printing history from Norway, and an opportunity which should not be passed up as notes of this caliber typically enter tightly held advanced collections. PMG Pop 1/No Others Graded.
