Maya Figure. A large Pre-Classic Maya figure from El Salvador, c. 1000 BC – 250 AD. This standing female is 5-5/8" high and is posed with hands on hips. She is wearing a fancy headdress, ear and nose ornaments and a segmented necklace. She has an unusually expressive face for the type and the hollow body contains a rattle.
